The Sea Wolf just splashed down after her annual R&M in Port Townsend, WA. Our shipwrights (Haven Boat Works) worked on planking, painting, updating stateroom 5, rebuilding the bearings on our davits, installing a new prop, installing a beautiful new purple heart anchor guard and numerous other small projects.
Joe fine tuned the Sea Wolf’s 1941 Hamilton Diesel engine and now with the new prop we have lost all vibration in the Sea Wolf :). Our engine is the only one still operating from Hamilton Diesel. It was designed for the minesweepers utilizing a locomotive engine.
Larry has been installing NautiTeak flooring in all the staterooms for a fresh look and easier maintenance as well as other galley projects which will make our chef’s smile.
Malolo Design have produced a beautiful website and Emily is trained up in maintaining it and being our social media maven.
I am finally back home in Gustavus and will head back down to the Sea Wolf in March to ready her to voyage back home to Alaska. Meanwhile we are starting to plan the garden and get our starts going for the garden. We love providing fresh greens and veggies to our guests. Snowy here at home!.
Getting excited about our 2020 season to see what wonders Glacier Bay will hold this spring. April and May are my favorite times of the year. Happy Winter, Kimber
