Adventuring into the future

Dear Sea Wolf Adventurer,

I hope that you are doing well in your corner of the world and adjusting to this new normal for the time being.  This is truly an unprecedented time and we have all had to make incredible adjustments to adapt to the new rules surrounding social distancing.  I’m sure you have many questions, thoughts, and concerns that come up on a daily basis.  This is true for all of us at Sea Wolf Adventures.

COVID-19 has rapidly changed our access to the healing balm of nature, at least temporarily. The travel industry is, for all intents and purposes, on hold. Sea Wolf Adventures has collectively made the decision to suspend all of our trips through the end of October. Each one of us has a responsibility to practice social distancing to reduce the spread of coronavirus. Traveling in the next months we feel wouldn’t be safe for our guests or our crew.  We miss YOU!!!

We appreciate how the vast majority of our 2020 clients have chosen to move their adventure to 2021 or 2022.  We are honored by your trust in us. 2021 is going to be an epic year as we will be celebrating the Sea Wolf’s 80th birthday and are planning for every adventurer to have a commemorative gift, celebrating her service to our country as a US Minesweeper and for the last 40 years as a conservation platform.

Lastly, I want to share with you our deeper mission of conservation.  We practice conservation through exploration and environmentalism through our best practices. Many a time, when someone travels to our part of Alaska to see the acrobatic humpback whales, graceful orcas, wolves, coastal brown bears and the majestic mountains, glaciers and forests – they want to be a part of ensuring their survival. They take home an expanded love of nature. This helps these eco regions and species through protections put in place by your votes. And very importantly opens their eyes wider to their own backyard nature. Additionally, experiencing an incredible adventure, hiking and kayaking in true wilderness – being a part of nature and not just a spectator – leaves an impression on you that will last forever.

I can’t thank you enough for all of your continued support.  Over the years, Sea Wolf crew and clients truly have become a family and I am able to stay positive through this difficult time because of you, Emily in the office, and our wonderful crew. Together, we will certainly make it through this current challenge. The world needs travel – it inspires us, it educates us and it connects us.

Until the next time, please stay as safe as you can. You are our, and nature’s, greatest assets and we greatly appreciate all that you do.

AND…. Watch our blog because we want to stay connected. The Sea Wolf Crew will be sharing videos they have prepared, showing you the beauty of Alaska’s nature as we explore our homeland’s topography, flora and fauna. They will also share how to wild harvest and prepare foods we serve on the Sea Wolf, and as you know, many of the crew are professional photographers so they will be providing tips for you to practice capturing the world’s beauty through the lens, until we can adventure together again.

Warm regards, Kimber
