For 2010 please see the Cloud Ridge Adventure Page on their site. http://www.cloudridge.org/2010/4-spirits_of_the_water/index.html for their trip detail.)
Please note: Below are the arrangements for SEPTEMBER 7-17, 2011
Ketchikan is a charming old fishing and timber town that also caters to the cruise ship industry. There are several area's of interest: potlatch villages, totem parks, shops along Creek Street and the Discovery Center.
We recommend you schedule your flight from Seattle to Ketchikan to arrive one day before your scheduled departure on the Sea Wolf. You will then have time to explore Ketchikan. We leave the dock at 2 pm, September 7th, 2011and start our way to Prince Rupert.
Recommended Ketchikan Hotels:
Cape Fox Lodge: http://www.capefoxlodge.com This is a beautiful Hotel which is sited on the hillside above Creek st. It has a funicular car that takes you up and down to Creek St.
Best Western Landing Hotel: http://www.bestwesternalaska.com/hotels/best-western-landing-hotel/
Prince Rupert is where we land on Day 2 of our adventure. This is the entry to British Columbia and where we need to clear customs. You must have a current passport to continue on your journey.
Prince Rupert is a very quaint and friendly town nestled on the Inside Passage. It is the gateway to the Great Bear Rainforest and many other wild destinations within British Columbia. We will spend a few hours or more here depending on how quickly we clear customs. There is a wonderful museum just up the road from the harbor. Once everyone is back onboard then we are off to our evening anchorage.
BELLA BELLA (END OF THE GREAT BEAR RAINFOREST)
We arrive in Bella Bella 9/17/2011 a few hours before the scheduled flight to Vancouver Island. We arrange for a taxi to transport you to the airport. You will need to make your air reservations with PACIFIC COASTAL AIRLINES well in advance to ensure you have a seat. Bella Bella is not an overnight place to stay if there is not a flight. We do set sail until we know the flight has departed.
An addition to your adventure that is fun is to fly from Bella Bella to Port Hardy, rent a vehicle and explore the Natural and Native wonders of Vancouver Island. See here for information: Port Hardy Visitors Assoc. http://www.ph-chamber.bc.ca/
This is an adventure of a lifetime!
